small auto diesel
hi looking for a small diesel auto for the g/f
must be micra size, hatch if poss
around £2500-£3000 any ideas ?

Why diesel especially? Not worth it in a small car imo - they cost more and the petrol versions are not thirsty to start with.
Polo/Ibiza 1.2? Can't go wrong with a Micra either, assuming you don't hate the look.

dont know why. shes just got the diesel bug . she used to have a 1.1 saxo
& having driven my old 3.5 24v petrol shogun she now wants an auto
i have told her that a small diesel auto wont go like a 2oobhp shogun
but thats what she wants

Not many about especially older cars in that price range.
I can't recall any Vag stuff smaller than Golf/Octavia coming with an Auto.
In fact I'm struggling to think of anything.
The usual crowd of Corsa, Fiesta, Clio, Micra, Polo, Fabia, Ibiza, Saxo, 106 didn't have diesel auto options. There are still very few out now.
She will have to decide whether she wants a small engined petrol auto that will have the performance of a snail or go for a manual TDI will have some performance but will come with a clutch.

i used to have a mk3 golf tdi(90) my97 .& it was a great car all the toys
but she says its too big
polo tdi, pug 306di,seat !! out of range
