I've never found a Passat forum in 3 years ownership .... for general VAG diesel advice the one I use most is www.seatcupra.net/forums, there's a specific and quite active TDi section there with lots of non-Seat VAG owners. Knowledge level is high.
www.uk-mkivs.net is also OK, a lot of dross but also some very knowledgable tweakers.
