Diesel is a higher octane than petrol and you dont have the same problems as petrol engines do as a diesel works slightly differently.
Personally i wouldnt put octane booster into diesel, a couple of reasons really, 1. it was designed for petrol, 2. its a diesel.

You can buy Cetane boosters for diesels -- Miller's is available at Halfords and is well liked among a lot of diesel users. You can also get Redline 85+ and Stanadyne performance formula from specialists.
I've tried Stanadyne for a few tanks, as well as BP Ultimate etc in my Passat PD130 and, although I might THINK there's a difference, none of them have made a REAL difference in performance or economy ...

Do you know what pre-ignition is?
Do you know the difference petween petrol and diesel?
If the answer to any of these questions is NO then i woudnt bother..
