- Top Spec Mondeo TDi Estate
- Older A4 Avant
- Honda Accord Estate

If running costs/load capacity arent an issue..

I have looked at them and I am impressed but something about VW cant quite put my finger on it

I was also looking at Audi's and BM's but they all seem to have galactic miles.

I was just wondering if there was any good estate cars that people had tried, bought etc that I havent thought of

Volvos seem good value

If you dont like the Scoob or want an older Audi s4 or BM tourer then...

Saab 9-5 aero. 258bhp all the goodies and lots of them round the 12k mark about 18months old.

YOu can get a '98 E55 Merc for that money as well.

For that sort of money, you could get one of the last Omegas. Fully loaded, any engine you're after etc. My dad picked up a 1 year old CDX for £11k with 10,00 miles, well in warranty etc. Loads of space, decent enough quality, smooth drive. It'll be the best value car of all the ones you'll look at.

Just bought a '52 Plate Audi A4 Avant 1.9 TDi Sport for a shade over £11k. Fantastic looking car, great spec., economical - 50+mpg and nice to drive. Want a little more power? £300 - £500 gets you 180Bhp & 300lb/ft.

They are pretty bulletproof motors and very well built. Mine has 60k+ miles and feels as tight as new with full Audi SH. Hoping this will fit the bill as the family car for the next couple of years allowing me something bonkers in the garage for the weekend!

I looked at BM 330D/320D and also the Saab and Passat but £ for £, the Audi is the better car IMHO.

got my eye on a nice 530D - BUT - as noted above- they do seem to be very high mileage at 10-12K
