Whilst my parents and i where on hold in Northumbria i saw a white Rover Metro with gret bumpers and on the rear bumper is said along the lines of 'This metro has 182bhp' written in white.

Was it dirty?? Think the rest of the sticker said.....

'This metro has 182bhp....when being towed by a new Clio Trophy, technically."

I know Reyland have an orange Metro with a 1.8 vvc engine in it, but didnt think anyone else was into tuning up a boggo metro!!

Cheers,
Grant

He he, I was going to weld two scrap 1.4 K-series metros together to make a twin engined (one front, one rear) 4wd pushing a whopping 146bhp

But I though better of it, used them as skips and filled junk metal then weighed them in at the scarppers

The guy who bought my BRM had a tuned VVC Metro, 0-60 was sub six seconds, quarter mile was around 14 secs also. I had a Metro GTI for a bit and that was too powerful for the standard chassis, scary little bugger, tried to kill it, ran for two miles in second on the limiter, several full bore starts, handbrake turns, burnouts, still couldnt kill it despite it feeling fragile when driven normally !

Look on eBay, there's usually a couple of 1.8 K series engined ones about. Lightweight, nippy, deathtrap. My kind of car
