Ford SVT 150 Lightning Pickup truck?
Anyone got any experience of driving, or living with one?
How easy is it to get hold of normal servicing parts, brake pads, etc?
Who are you insured with? Any decent policies about?
For a friend, not me unfortunately!
Cheers,
Squizz

Had a test drive of one of these before we bought our Hummer. Absolutely brilliant vehicles, totally impractical and a bit tricky with being left hand drive, but great fun. Being the big kid I am I sat there revving it on our drive and the sound of the supercharger was yum, the whole thing rocked from side to side. Hope your friend has a big driveway and room to turn out of it on to the road.
We insured the Hummer with Headley Insurance Services (underwritten by NIG) who are an absolute waste of space. For insurance for an American vehicle the best place to look would be related magazines, for US 4x4's, etc.
Can't comment on parts availability, but it may be worth sourcing a US 4x4 specialist importer/dealer in the UK before buying one and asking them. We found a Hummer specialist in Warrington

Thanks for that.
I guess Litchfield Imports are down the road from us, so servicing/parts could always be done by Powerstation.
