I'd think it'd pass...unless you take it to a "cheepo" MOT station- where they nit-pick at absolutely everything (that's how they make their money - on MOT repairs 
). The fact no sharp objects are PROTRUDING (sticking out of the body) should make it ok
Bit of gaffer/duct tape over it and you'd be sorted anyway

Tape it up and you'll be fine for deffo
