Top car.
There was another RS500 up for sale at my local ford dealer not so long ago. Absolute minter in was. They wanted £18k for it. I would have been very tempted, only I don't have a garage, and you can't park them outside, for the scum from planet scum would want to take it for a little joy ride.

Very nice I've always liked these since they first came out. That one looks like it's in good order though despite the fact that it's been damaged. Shame about that

I know the Sierra Cosworth was £19995 (in 1988) when new and think the RS500 was about a grand more expensive

Would love it but I think I would be too afraid to drive it.

So really whats the point in owning a car like that?

Still.......if my lottery numbers come up!!!!!!

3 brothers round the corner from me all had 3-door cossies, Black, White and moonstone blue, Only used to bring them out on Sunny days and they were sprayed every year to get rid of stone chips etc.

Totally agree. Best to get a very good RS 3 door so you can drive it.

The origional 3 door (5000 made) was about £17,500 the RS500 (500 made) was about £19,000 a few months later when all the new ones were sold the price rocketed to £30,000 my local dealer had one on there forecourt for £29,995 closley followed by another one at the same price, I remember this well as I worked for this ford dealer at the time and was a cosworth mad 18 year old lad.
