They never made an Almera GT-R. It was a Almera Gti in the UK and had a 150BHP SR20DE...I think anyway

Thats right there isn't something as an Almera GT-R, but mind you, you can buy an original GT-R badge in Japan or on ebay...

I know a to$$er over here who drives an Almera 2.2 Diesel with Skyline GT-R badge and all Nismo stickered up. what a ****....

I've had the misfortune of driving an Almera Diesel once. You can be smug in the knowledge that it is without doubt the worst car I have ever driven. Foot to the floor and nothing happens.

It was 143 bhp in the UK I think, and by my count, 37 mpg as well I wasn't driving like a granny either

I think there was a turbocharged 190 bhp version in Japan which may have been the GT-R, but not over here

Nice cars Just a shame I can't get used to that low front spoiler.... Hence, I need a new one

Cool

In Japan they did get a rather special Almera though (or Pulsar over there) the VZ-R N1, sort of an equivalent to a EK9 CTR but with 197bhp from a N/A 1.6

Found a clip of one (still rather ugly though ):

No worse than the Pulsar GTi-R though I wonder why they never imported it?
