Best Second Car For a Steal?
Looking for a second car, as I am going to try to keep my scoob in the garage a bit more now.
Looking for a fun little car, not to bothered about age condition etc, just wanna spend not a lot of money for something that i can have a giggle in too
First ideas were r5gtt. 205gti fiesta rs
So any ideas, with prices pros and cons would be great guys

Was only looking to spend a few hundred maybe a bit more, just want something to throw about, be able to park without having nervous breakdown when shopping. Just a bit of cheap fun

Had a saxo before and do not want another.

When I first bought my house I got rid of my reasonable car and bought a H reg VW Polo Coupe GT. You might laugh but it was a very good car - Was a bit tatty but was actually pretty nippy and it was lowered so stuck to the road like glue. Cost nothing to run and insure really (1.3 - Group 7 insurance). Sold it for £275 - It did need a new clutch but other than that the engine was good and it had over 140,000miles on it.

Golf GTi mk2. No other car in existence ticks all the right boxes.
Reasons? Torquey quick. Good handler. Solid. Safe. Well built. Reliable. Practical. Economical. Cheap parts. Simple to work on. Classy, but classless. Correct badge, correct image. I could go on.
I've got a 205 gti 1.9 tucked away: the Pug is the entertainer, but the Golf is more complete, in a way that no other car I have ever come across is. Here's mine.

If your looking at no more than a thousand pound then I'd go for either:
205 GTi - like a big go kart
220 Turbo Hatch - fun in a straight line at 12psi and 200bhp
Golf GTi - would probably go for the 16v if available at that sort of price???

Have had Golf GTI, Pug 205 GTI,
The MR2 MK1 sounds like a good idea, as I always did like those, trouble is your gonna start messing about with it though.
What do these go for?
The g/f has 106 GTI, great car just could not live with it every day, pedals so close to each other, but does go like stink.
