Is that most expensive to buy or most money spent on mods?

I think hawkthescoobyslayer with the RUF Porsche is in with a shout.

In the "old" Scoobynet days there was someone on here with a Diablo.

Darren DC911 had a fleet of cars including a Lambo, Type 25 Scoob, FocusRS, Clio V6 and a Vtech engined mini. Unfortunately he has had some legal issues and is not currently posting.

David Brown also has a nice garage full of exotica.

Cheers

Historically, I'd say David with his Ford GT, although it's sold now.

KnobbySP1 has a 360 Challenge Stradale. Gotta be up there for the single most expensive. I've had the pleasure of a passenger ride in both that, and Hawks RUF

Never met the guy or even spoken to him but that was one of the funniest threads I can ever remember on Scoobynet.

Here is the original thread :

If I remember it was the parody of this thread that was absolutely classic. Unfortunately I can't seem to find it at the moment.

Ta JD. I'd heard of the thread many times, but hadn't actually read it.

I read post #66 with interest:

"Apologies all you prospective supercar/fighter plane owners, but recently I used my first months wages as a knork grader for Playboy to bribe myself onto the boards of Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McDonald Douglas, Lockheed and several other corporations. My first task as CEO has been to sign an exclusive sales/distribution deal, and I would therefore like to welcome myself as the new sole distributor for the above companies. Unfortunately, we will be unable to honour any of our existing orders as our already small production runs will be limited to one car/plane per year, which will be delivered to .... me. Colour choice will be limited, to World Rally blue. Our vehicles will of course, still be available second hand through Auto Trader & Death From Above Monthly.

To celebrate this momentus occasion, the Prime Minister (Tony) has granted me permission to close the A1 to public traffic every Thursday (now renamed Trackday), alternating with the Birmingham inner ring road for a day in the twisties and the M25 for NASCAR type circuit action.

All the best, paupers!"

If it had said "saps" and mentioned a villa in the sun, that would have been remarkably like one of the contemporary contributions to scoobynet...

IIRC it's a 996 pushing IRO 590bhp. He's still around but is very busy at the mo'.

Nice car Paul, where’s your Ruf wheels? Does it have a totally different body kit? Sorry for the questions but I’m a really big fan of Ruf..

Cosmetically, The Ruf R Turbo (996) has a different bumpers, wing mirrors rear vents, wheels and a few other bits and bobs, I may be mistaken but the one in the picture looks like a stock 996 Turbo with an engine upgrade, I like it!, a great 'sleeper'!

Don't think I'd call any 996 a sleeper...

Thats true! relatively though compared to cars in its performance league i.e. Carrera GT, Enzo, Zonda Rufs are pretty low key especially in darker colours, most people on the road just think is a regular 911

there are two people on here with Ruf’s?? crazy

Brendan: isn’t a sleeper a car that’s considerably faster than it looks? A Ruf 996 is defiantly considerably faster than a Porsche 996.
