Default Anyone now anything about Freelander warning lights?

Our 2001 Freelander has two warning lights that come on together intermittently under braking. The lights are Traction Control and Hill Descent Warning!. They don't seem to effect the car in anyway. Traction Control is not active neither is HDC. We have just had all front disks and pads changed as they were worn, the lights came on before this change. The "specialist" garage thought the lights were connected to the pads/disks needing changing but it seems not.

Before I go to a main dealer to see what they say, does anyone have the same problem or has had on their Freelander?
