Default Volvo T5 tuning?

I heard some figures banded around today about a T5 being able to produce 300bhp and 450ftlb of torque with only an ECU remap. Anything's possible I thought, but was sceptical as I knew they were around 220bhp standard.

I've just looked on this website http://www.volvotuninguk.com/Disclai...ion/frames.asp

and it seems to be right, wtf? thats some amazing torque with no other mods isn't it

Whats more, from the same person I heard about another T5 with a garrett blower and unknown other mods making 800bhp, I was more sceptical but now not so sure.

hmm, T5

Just had a look - the torque is in Newton metres (NM), not ft/lb. Using a conversion of approx 0.73, 450 NM equates to around 314 ft/lb. 450 ft/lb would be nice though!!!!

RICA chip ups power to around 300bhp with 315 ish lb/ft. Problem I found with mine as mentioned was wheelspin and corners. Standard T5 V70 & S60 is 265bhp. Front tyres lasted around 8k without abuse.....

I have got a lot of respect for the chipped volvos.

Check out the power and torque claims of Maptun stage 7 prepared Saab 9000 (I know its a saab and not a volvo, but I'm just going with the Swede theme).

http://www.maptun.com/webshop/produc...18&produkt=194

500bhp and 600Nm through the front wheels.

Stage 3 planned for my Aero over the summer.

Forgot to mention: That video of the 850 was fantastic.
