Default BMW 3 series derv

I have been looking on the autotrader website at the prices of the 320d and 330d, seem they have come down in price a bit.

You can pick up one for about 10K with highish miles (100K).

Just wondering how this engine/car copes with big miles?

Any other info will be great.

TIA

Scott

Blimey, there's a nice 2003 330D sport touring for 17k just down the road from me... Should have waited another month!

I currently have a 2003 320D SE on 54500 miles.

I know that the engines are particularly well regarded when it comes to high mileage, but it's the same situation as with any car - it depends on how well it's been serviced and what kind of miles they are.

I wouldn't buy a 100k mile ex-taxi, but I would buy an ex-fleet 100k where the miles are all motorway.

Lovely cars anyway - I want another one!
