Default BMW 325 TDS?

Am bidding on one on Ebay. Anyone got an opinion. Yes I know it's a dirty, stinking horrible diesel, but I do 350 miles a week minimum etc... and want a decent handling quality but cheap motor that the neighbours won't snear at... unlike my Rover 420 SDI shed..

Cheers
DR

My dad has the 325td, IIRC 115bhp without the intercooler. Top car, looks good, goes decent enough, handles good, and even has a 6cylinder growl to it.
The TDS is even better with about 150bhp.

DR,

The 325TDS is a great car. You bidding on the white one? It's worth jack in white unfortunately. The blue one further down would be a better buy, but then it's potentially more expensive. And it's a 4 or 5spd auto, certainly not a 6!

Good car and engine indeed, however they aren't exactly econamical. They sit between top twenties and top thirtys and may hit 40+ @ 70mph for the duration of a motorway trip.

Other than that, good handling, nice power and RWD action of course !

Watch out for unsteady idle or starting probs..This can indicate the injector pump wants a rebuild...£1200 will see it overhauled..

This aint an uncommon fault..

A mate had one, and reckoned the fuel consumption wasnt all that impressive, and certainly nowhere near that of a modern diesel.

Also chav mobile image to put up with with these now, as goes for most old BM's.
