Default High Mileage BMW's

I've seen a few 325/328/330 coupes (E46 shape) that are very well priced.

But, they seem to have high mileage (60 - 100K).

They come with all the toys -(leather, climate control, electric seats, traction control, etc) and most have full service history.

Heard that a BMW will go for miles (200K+). Is this correct? Is there anything to worry about when buying a BMW that is high mileage?

Any forums I should check out?

Cheers.

If the servicing is upto date there really is little to worry about mate. Not sure whether the later models had issues with the VANOS unit like the earlier E36 models, if so buy with a warranty if poss.
Servicing wise, I had an E36 M3 and had it serviced by a BMW specialist in Sheffield. Once the car gets to 75k plus in mileage the value is negligeable with respect to servicing. Just remember there are 3 levels of service.

Oil service - roughly every 10/12k or 12 months - the car will tell you when its due ;-)

Inspection 1

Inspection 2

The inspections alternate so eg: year 1 = oil inspection, year 2 = inspection 1, year 3 = oil service, year 4 = inspection 2 etc.

Seriously good cars mate, i'd go for the 330 if poss, lot of performance for such a heavy car.
