Honda Beat
Anyone driven a Honda Beat. Im looking for something small and fun for gf and I to share.
I have never been in one so im not sure i would even fit or anything (I'm 6'1")
but I am just after some opinions on the car. Good or bad?
Performance
Reliability
Practicallity
Ease of maintenance/repairs
Cost of ownership?
Any thoughts?

Really chuckable little motor, good member club as well, alhough I cant remember the link.

Thanks flightman.
thats really good to hear that your mate can fit in the cappacino.
I think I prefer the honda than the suzuki, just personal taste, and the fact that i am quite a fan of honda reliability as well as the fact that the Beat looks like a miniature NSX if you squint alot!

Brett,
I'm a Honda man to, I own an ATR, and the wife has a CRV.
But dont discount the Suzuki. When my mate took me out for a blast in it, I was picking flies out of my teeth I was laughing so much.
Good luck.
And are you sure about the Beat/NSX thing? ;-)

We had a cappuccino for a couple of years, great fun, I am just under 6 foot and 'b ig boned' 650cc turbo, rear wheel drive and targa/convertible they are brilliant. www.score.org.uk but their BBS is not that great.
Try one, probably not quite as rare is the beat! Ins group 13 though. Not cheap. Nothing went wrong with it.
Got an S2000 now and they are quite similar to drive, just ones bigger and faster...

Flightman: 'And are you sure about the Beat/NSX thing? ;-)' Yes, but it has to be foggy, from the right angle, in the dark and from a mile away! I think its just the side air scoop that is the similarity.
It looks like I while give both the beat and the capucinno a drive, although all the suzukis (easier to spell!) seem 25% more expensive than the hondas i have seen.
cheers guys

Brett,
I am 6' 2". I have tried a Beat, a Cappuchino and a Daihatsu Copen for size, and the only one I am comfortable in is the Beat. it has way more space than the others. Attempting to select fifth gear in the Cappuchino jammed my knee into the steering wheel. The Beat may be slower, but I would personally have on over the other cars any day. It's certainly lighter, and it may be possible to still pick up performance parts for it (or buy one which already has funky aftermarket tuning accessories). I also prefer the way it looks. I would have bought one when I was in Japan if it wasn't for it's complete lack of practicality. Great 2nd/3rd/4th car, though.
Cheers,
BB

I love the Honda Beat, it looks great. Too small for me though.
