Default Corvette problem

A mate of mine recently bought a 89 Vette, he took it out today and had a 'mishap', he booted it on a wet road and it nearly spun but he managed to correct it, I dont think it was heroic driving skill, I think the kerb helped a bit....

Therefore, has anyone any experience of Vette's or know any UK boards where he could source some bits, appraently the rear nearside wheel is scrap and is sat at an unusual angle.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

My dad used to run a '75 350 cu in 'Vette and was a member of the Classic Corvette Club so their site would be worth checking out :

http://www.corvetteclub.org.uk/

They are absolutely bloody lethal in the wet, and not much good round corners for the inexperienced driver so tell him to be careful !!

Turns out there was another accident in the same spot, he suspects a Diesel spill, he has been driving a while and has had Supra's and the like so I dont think it was inexperience.
