Audi S3 2002 51 Reg 34k fash what it worth?
have been offered the above by someone i know has 1 owner straight as a die and has full audi service history - he's trading for for anew one and the dealer ahs offered £14300 so i can have it for this if i want it ?
question is will it be a good buy on say 3 year finance with 2/3 k down ???? or would i be better buying something else???
after the rb5 wr looking at something a little more subtle and less costly to run - he avs about 28-30 top the gallon when blasting down to wales ????
ideas???????

If you can live with the looks/image (which is improving), an Octavia vRS at that age is about half the price and every bit as much fun as the S3 I tried previously (210 model IIRC), despite 30 BHP down and FWD, in the dry I wouldn't think there would be much in it. Driving one whilst looking for a company vehicle with the misses was a revelation, despite being used to a slightly lighter Scooby with 260 BHP more. Fantastic all rounder, the money you save compared with other stuff makes it all the sweeter. For me the image is quite appealing in an inverse snobbery kind of way, but not everyone sees it like that.

I'd say that price was pretty reasonable, mates got an AMD chipped one (270ish BHP) and that just about keeps up with my Scoob (MY00), build quality is good and they do seem to hold their price (if that's possible on a second hand car) although with the new ones (not S3 yet) out that may well affect depreciation, still a good purchase, only couple of criticism's - naff brakes (but then having owned a RB5 you should now about that) and a small boot.
What colour ?? avoid the base colours (blue & orange), most sought after colours are met black and yellow (oddly)
