Anyone driven a Lupo GTi ?
Hi all,
Like many of us, I'm looking at a turbo diesel to-and-from work type thing.
But I also thought about little engined superminis. Then after scanning Auto trader etc (and a few beers later), the engine size crept up, and my arguement went from
'Yes 1.0 or 1.2 will suffice, modern engines are much better nowadays'
to
'ah bo11ocks, it's only a 1.6, how much can it drink ?'
So, might go look at a Lupo 1.6 GTi tomorrow, they any good ?

Hi mate
my sister actually has a Lupo Gti. The main thing with it is it has absolutely no boot space. Otherwise great little car and is actually suprisingly nippy and handles well.
However they do tend to be thirsty at motorway speeds. Around town can get 38-40mpg but for some reason it tends to drink at 70+ mph. We thought it was a problem with our car but it turns out they are all like that.
Best to post on Club Gti, or have a look around, lots of info there
