lol... No shame there mate, I did the very same!!

Bought mine on impulse had wanted one since my friends dad took me out in his when I was about 8.. I bought mine mainly due to it being a 1992 Series 2 RS Turbo, which I was told was one of 8 that were registered on the J plate.

Got it home to discover that the engine was f00ked, sp I replaced it and still have the car in the garage at home where it is well maintained and kept in top shape. I quite like mine too!!

Ibought it her cos she wantd a cab and it had the tub engine that was a bonus to me, then she saw one with cosie kit so many hours on the driveway in the cold and now shes got cosi cab. only thing now engine went **** up so not content with engine she wants me do a full respray in a pearly gold its neva ending ive had to hide al the car mags to put an end to her ideas i love it

**** the car mags mate..... I'd be more interested in hiding the Cheque Books/Credit Cards/Piggy Bank as women can do a fair bit of damage with these if they choose to!!

I know a boy in my work who has got a RST that he bought just 5 days, and put it into the back of a bus 2 days later, says that he'll probably split it now, will get his number if your interested

Ray, you will need the whole gearbox if you want an RST diff as I remember that the diff is an 8 bolt unit, and the standard boxes are 6 bolts between the diff and crown wheel gear. As it happens, I have a brand new quaife diff that I bought a few years ago that hasn't ever turned a wheel, along with a flywheel and borg & beck paddle clutch from a series 2 RST that is 220mm in diameter instead of the standard or series 1 sizes of 190 & 200mm.
