Why the attitude?????
Banzai is nothing like max power,i ****in hate max power.
And i think who cares is an **** of a thing to say.
I didnt ask if anyone cares,i am interested to know if a scoob of this performance exists.
Yes you are quite right this is scooby net hence the interest in whether such a scooby exists.

I have owned a near 450bhp cossie in the past and can only imagine what a sub 600bhp scoobie would be like.

Just say good things about Subaru's and put start your posts in the correct section and you'll get some sensible replies on Scoobynet.

Jeez, some of you guys need to look up 'drag racing' - it's quite popular!
To answer the original question, no, I don't think there are any that are even close, frankly. The scooby engine just isn't built to be tuned to that sort of power, it's not a good platform on which to base a drag car. There are a few pushing 500bhp but not many which stay in one piece above that for long.

Maybe it should have been in other marques, but is's still pretty awesome straight line performance times. Just keeps on coming as the speed goes up - e.g. less than 1.1 seconds from 130-140mph. Even at that speed, you can spot the "slow bits" where gearchanges were involved.
I'd guess the nearest scoobs to that sort of pace will be something like the Rigoli brothers. IIRC they had several times in the 9s on the standing start quarter, possibly even a high 8. Purely built to achieve awesome 1/4 mile times, admittedly. No idea whether the RC EVO fits into that category, but I suspect it might?
Some of the less powerful UK scoobs mentioned above (but several still pushing 550bhp+ which is still a fantastic achievement) are at least into the 10s on the 1/4 mile, and most are probably superior to the Rigoli cars for blasting round cicuits etc. IIRC, the Andy F approach is a little less power (but still lots more than normal mortals) with light weight, good gearing etc, which is bound to be effective in a lot of circumstances.

I'm sorry I'm a miserable sod. Well, on the general and Members' Gallery, anyway. I just get wound up at the increasing chavviness of some sections of the site and I misinterpreted your thread as one of *those* types.

AndyC, i believe the CRD car HAS run a faster quarter mile time than the RC Evo, and by all accounts is more reliable.
As for no scoobies being anywhere near close, CRD, Andy F and Pavlo are all 10 second cars. Andy and CRD being consistent mid 10's.

Perhaps if I leave my car standard it will be more unique?

worth noting that the rc evo tends to blow up every time it runs, the rigoli quarters are significantly faster over the 1/4.
In terms of performance I wouldn't expect andy or the crd car to be far behind those times despite being much lower in the power stakes.
Bear in mind that even the evo 6 was over 140 kgs heavier than the classic impreza which both these cars are based on.
I woulod be surprised if my car at 550bhp and 550lbft can get into the 10s as if anything I have added weight, not removed it keeping the fullinterior, air con and various other creature comforts.
Would still hope for a sub 7 second 0-100, but that will need andy f driving!
