I doubt it. However the new Caterham CSR 260 might have a good chance, or maybe the Ultima that broke the 0-100-0 record..... which will soon be taken back by the CSR...
You have got to be pushing 600bhp/ton to break 10 secs and I dont know any other production car that comes close??

The standard Mclaren F1 was only 11.3secs. The F1 LM might get close, as it had more power and a shorter ratio gearbox, but only 5 ever made. The Ultima should be in the 10's, but it won't break it.

Re 600 BHP/ton - some Scoobies are getting in the 10s with under 400 BHP/ton, but the AWD has a lot to do with that?

We are talking sub 10s here. 10.8 sec to 9.8 sec is a whole different ball park trust me!Originally Posted by john banks

Oh you mean to break into the 9s, rather than the 10s, agreed. When people talk about a 10 sec quarter mile, they don't mean 10.0 do they?

Maybe a Tiger Z100 kit car its factory built and certainly holds the 0-60 record at 2.9 seconds
uses 2 ZX12R bike engines and is road legal

a snip at 33,000 pounds considering the fun you'd have
