Question Megane 225 bhp

Although i tried to make up his mind mate's insisting on buying a 225 hp megane sport.

It's not an awd but performs 0-60 in 6.5 and 1/4 mile just the same as wrx.

Your opinions ?

seen them on track with 182s and a few Clio V6s.....was far more impressed with a 182! the turbos hardly worth it, i think it boosts at 6 psi!! 0.4bar ish...

ive never been keen on the looks although the megane does look slightly better in renaultsport guise i dont think its my kind of car!

You say that but in a test in one of the mags, it showed a clean pair of heels to a Focus RS - so that's pretty quick.

Thumbs down

I test drove one 2 months ago, as a possible replacement for my Cupra R. Whilst it was nicely finished inside & was quite quick (but no quicker than my current car); the torque steer was a major problem, as was the notchy vague gearchange. The future residuals look bad too as you can already get £4k off at some internet dealers. Certainly not for me......

Don't like the look of the thing for starters. I think I'll stick with my RS!

yeah i test drove one a couple of weeks before getting this current impreza in May.... way too expensive for what you're getting performance wise, although it was finished nicely and theres more gadgets than your typical scooby. Not my reasons for buying a car tho sorry ....

They might be expensive, but apparently big discounts are possible and they have already started plummeting on the used market!

Just checked the pics out on that site. It doesn't look any better looking than the standard car and that's f'ugly!!! Not one of Renaultsport's best cars it has to be said!!
