I dont care about this being civil crap to be totally honest. Ive come on here a lot and a lot of people say its the young adrenaline drivers that have made premiums shoot up. How many young people have a car? or a powerful car? the reason premiums have gone up is BECAUSE PAYPOUTS HAVE INCREASED we have adopted the american culture...i fell...give me 5k...now! thats whats made insurance go up. AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED I LOVE IT WHEN A ROAD IS QUIET AND SOME GUYS ARE RACING its like F1 live and you are on the track. Dangerous yes but thats what driving fast is all about. I love track days but im one of those who likes the push the car a bit now and then.

Im just waiting on the oldies to call me a "chav"(am fooking not!) and a cruise-lover but i hope you can see my point of view as i do yours.

true that payout are getting higher, this is alot to do with hospital costs, as quite rightly why should the nhs pay to treat someone, when someone else was at fault for their injuries, medical costs are now being paid for by recovering the money from the insurance companies, helphire for example was setup by a uk doctor that had the idea of shifting cost of treatment off the nhs when someone could be reasonably blamed.

Thing is young drivers still crash more, and your right they don't have powerful cars, they are rubbish drivers that crash under powered fiesta, novas, citreons etc..

If they can't drive low power runabouts, what do you think would happened if they could get cover for turbo beasts???
