Default Elise

Could anyone offer any advice on the sort of Lotus Elise that would be worth buying for about £12k? This is based on a little cash and a warmed up UK MY00 in a p/ex so I'm probably having to deal with dealers.

I don't remember a good buyers guide....any help greatly appreciated.

Should be able to get a 99 mk1 elise with pretty low miles for around the 12K mark.Try and get one with full service history if you can. I used to work at a Lotus dealership, they tend to give crap prices for part ex's, better if they are a dealership for another brand aswell, but if it's just Lotus they generally don't want anything but Lotus's on their forecourt. Probably be better off selling private or asking subaru how much they'd give you for it.

Excellant

Thanks for the links I am more and more convinced. It softened the blow to know the dealership were going to insult me on an offer for mine

I should be looking anytime now and hoping to find a seasonal drop in prices...but not counting on it!
