Question Vw Beetle V5 Sport

Been offered one cheap in silver, full leather, 17in wheels, etc ,V5 170bhp motor looks much chunkier that the normal girlie versions, any opinions?

Supposed to be better to drive than the Golf, no head room in the rear seats, buts masses in the front. Got an electric spoiler that raises at speed, err.... that's about it really.

I know its trendy to despise the new beetle but I actually quite liked the one I used on a french holiday a few years back (2.0 motor). I agree re handling vs golf so its more soft than sporting.

You can pick up the v5s ridiculously cheap compared to equivalent golf and fully loaded. I've found myself considering one on this basis.

Put on a set of huge alloys lowered springs and some tasteful pimp tints and it looks pretty decent too.

Edited to say - forget the boot only slightly better than a TT in that respect and the rear seats are cramped.
