Really pleased when some of the members of the club I run, the Daihatsu Charade GTti owners club had a go at the spring tests at TRAX. First guy to run posted 6.6 seconds for the 0-60 then the second guy posted 6.8 but with loads of clutch slip in first gear. The 6.6 was quicker than a few of the Focus RSs that ran so we were well chuffed

Not bad for a car with just 993cc ! Both cars should have further tweaks soon with the slower car having a new clutch, lightened flywheel and will run the hiboost setting on the DRS ECU running 26psi !! Can certainly run quicker if we can get any traction !!

Now did anyone see what sort of times other quick FWD cars were doing ? Just curious to know what times Fiat Coupes and Leon Cupras we doing.

I had a go on the 0-60 as i saw them both having a go, and wanted to know what my standard one could do.

Got a 6.21 0-60. Not bad i thought. Running the EBV (peirburg) and only getting .8 bar peak, only getting .9bar on 5th gear over boost. And i have a cracked fannimould.

The other one i saw put in a 5.8 but this had an exhaust and sounded like he was running more boost. (maybe hybrid?)"

OK we know what to aim for. Yes Evo comment were good but its been taken out now, probably due to the age of the car.
