Default Ford focus RS 8

When I was at my local car breakers yesterday I picked a magazine with an interesting article about the Ford focus.
Not the forth coming RS cosworth but one called the RS 8.
This one was was produced by fords racing team it has a 4.6 v8 engine from a mustang and was rebored to a 5.0 litre and produces 420bhp through the rear wheels.
Beware because it looks no different compared to a normal focus RS.
There was no mention of how many was to be made or when it was to be released.

It is a US model only if it gets released at all.

It is available as a kit, but would never appear as a main production model.

I think i remember reading that it was something along the lines of £8k for the engine and peripherals and around £5k for the parts to do the RWD conversion (or vice versa).

I heard they had bother with the safety of the engine..Because they tested it in a crash and the whole engine went straight throught the back engine bay and into the drivers cabin possibly taking out passenger and drivers lower bodies! Mind you if they do release it they better put it in either RWD or 4WD because everyone knows the power limit on FWD! (220bhp)

Severely doubt anyone would buy a 4.6 litre focus over here when they know the Cossie (If it does ) is coming out...maybe its an american consolation car instead of the cosworth because of all them daft american emmision laws!
