Forget the stats, I know I am right.

erm, no.........the Sti was considerably faster, maybe 30 secs a lap! I need to roll the Porsche out of the garage to have a go at his Sti.
Although I know the lines a little better than Gary, he is much more commited shall we say!

good video, you must know the track quite well. I didn't have anything like that commitment over the blind sections. I must make sure I get more laps in there. Only done 5 but really enjoyed it.
What camera and mount do you use? The quality is pretty good and it doesn't just seem to focus on the windscreen.
I have tried attaching a camera to a car using a pretty decent clamp but it just shakes terribly.

There is another corner I am better than him at too. But overall, he would kick my *** big style.

Excellent, just got my missus a track day toy so hopefully she can learn the ropes and show all the blokes a thing or two. That's the dream anyway.
Don't suppose you know of any cheap sources for bullit cams?
I have tried a hi-8 attached with a manfrotto superclamp and that is pretty useless. Will be trying a digital soon that my brother is giving me but I think the bullit cam is the way forwards.

What bullet cam you guys using and where did you get it from. We borrowed one and got some laps at bedford, but it keeps misting up and the quality of the footage is nowhere near as good as by using the camera alone.
Dave,
better to be a wuss than a confidence over ability cone and gravel magnet like me

A very experienced guy who has done the Scuderia driving course 10 times, has review my video and offered this feedback.
Some of the lines he is advising have safety in mind rather than outright speed.
So after 165 laps......I still have lots to learn.

T13 - seems like you are a little in between gear there. You are using 3rd,
which should be right but it feels like you are missing a bit of power both
in the right hander leading on to the short straight and in the left hander
exiting T13. Have you tried 2nd gear?
Time code 1:17, try to use more of the track, seems like you have a meter to
spare on the left hand side, should be all the way out to the gravel. Even
if you really don't need it, you should please the judges - just like figure
skating! :-)
1:23, looks like you are tad too early and not all the way to the right when
you turn in.
Hatzenbach Ss and Hocheichen - perfect!
2:00 in a Clio you should be able to leave the lift off till after the crest
I think - will probably not make you faster but your ego will be bigger!
:-)
2:04, too close to the right hand curb, you should leave a meter here
according to the Scuderia folks, it also looks like you are not entirely out
to the left at 2:06.
Schwedenkreuz and Fuchsrörhre OK, probably possible to go faster but why
risk everything?
Adenauer Forst, the approach a little too racy for the Scuderia line, they
want you do be more left for the entry and then follow the right hand side.
Metzgesfeld - Kallenhard OK.
4:01 - seems to me that you are a little bit too much to the left here which
shows at 4:03 where you are very close to the curb (I try to leave half a
meter there). I suggest a slightly later turn in to the "chicane".
4:07 - you can probably turn in even later but maybe this is the best with
FWD?
4:21 way too early to please the Scuderia judges! You can see the white dot
to your right, there is where they want you right tyre to be! Crazy? Maybe,
but it works (unless you are followed by another racer...)
4:40 - I think you should be touching the right hand side a little bit
later - 2 meters?
Bergwerk, maybe, mayebe too early but once again it can be a FWD thing.
Kesselchen-Karussell - need more power!
6:48 - I know it's difficult but have you tried to be flat out?
Wippermann OK.
Right hander into Eschbach - nice!
~7:35 - the Scuderia line is way out to the right - right or wrong I don't
know but that's how the want you to drive.
Brunnchen - nice despite the traffic.
8:14 - try to leave a meter or two here.
8:18 - should be all the way to the right here. Will sort it self if you get
the entry right.
8:47 - braking? I think you can skip that here - just lift and down shift.

Super video - Watched it four times already!
Davyboy
Thats a cracking video, I really enjoyed watching it!
What type of camera is this? I have never heard of bullet cams. Someone told me they dont allow you to film on the ring anymore. Is this true?
I was going to go there this year but because of work I have had to leave it for next year.
Cheers
