Default Thoughts on the Clio 1.5 cdi 100bhp?

Hi,

Thinking of getting on of these they are fairly quick 10 secs to 60 mph and 115 mph top end as much torque as the 182 and wait for it do 65 mpg combined!

Anyone got one if so are they any good going to book a test drive this week.

there not bad cars....engines are first class

we have had a 65 bhp and now a 80bhp, big difference between the too and the 80 does more mpg! try the 80 back to back with the 100 if you can as you may find you dont need the extra bhp/torque as the 80 does a good enough job and with the cost of the 100bhp, theres other manufactureurs 'bigger' sized cars about for the cost of the 100bhp

but beware of the clio build quality....!

grear running figures, had thought o one to complement scooby. ... . jus bulid quality and rather tight in the back put me off. I also suspect wouldnt save any money over all...........not least having the disipline to drive it over the scoob...

Tried the 80 and found it a bit nose heavy and unrefined.

According to the fuel computer in my Cup it has averaged 42mpg on optimax over the last 2k miles which isnt much worse than an oil burner but miles more fun.

Yes might opt for the 80 can always chip it to 100 for next to nothing anyway going to have a look round.

Was going to get it coz a can get a 3k discount off it so works out at 8k which isnt bad at all!

I owned a Clio 1.2 16 Valve for a year after my Impreza (So sick of the running cost's I wanted a cheap car to run) and initially it was fine but the poor build quality started to show through after a few months as more and more squeeks and rattles appeared.

At the end of the day buying a brand new car with the idea of saving money is madness as the depreciation will far outweigh and savings in fuel. I sold mine after a year and lost just over £3000.

My wife has a DCI 80 Dynamique with Air Con (shameless plug incoming... )

Its a great little car - we used to share it for commuting so I drove it quite a bit, the MPG is good, its pretty nippy and the servicing is every 18K!

It's for sale at the moment as we have just moved to London and only need 1 car now ( I want to keep the Scoob) Its on Autotrader for £6,995, its silver, in good condition and has done 24K miles.

Let me know if your interested?

Cheers,

Richard

No i wouldnt get a new one either but I can get 2.5k off list price so that will take up most of the money I will loose when I come to sell it.
