What size of car are you looking at Polo/Fiesta, Golf/Focus, Passat/Mondeo?

I had a drive in a ZetecS Mondeo TDCi not long back, engine was strong and refined, Mondeo's handle very well and the ZetecS has 18" alloys and the ST220 style bodykit. Should be able to pick one up for near £8k.

Cheers

Mate, trust me, you will struggle to do better than a passat.

I just got a 2001 passat 130bhp tdi sport, picked it up last night.

One previous fleet owner, fvagsh, alloys, 6 cd, tinted glass, 6 speed box, pulls like a train even in 6th. Lovely metallic anthracite grey.

£7700 from ALD automotive (search google).

I tell you what, its bloody brilliant. I am yet to find something to fault. It wheelspins in the dry in 2nd gear, and you can get them mapped to 300lb/ft if you want to worry some 330D's and S3's etc. Steering is amazing, box is nice for a diesel, and its a great looking car.

Top marks.

I just did my first long trip in the Passat, from Bristol to brands Hatch.

360miles, at 100mph on the mways, and I used HALF A TANK!!!!

Also bear in mind the scooby was about £50 to fill up 50-55 litres and the passat was 50 for 60 litres.

Bloody amazing, and its got more low down punch than my scooby had to boot.
