think i read somewhere that ONE of the versions, Type R or RB or something comes with a small bench like back seat?

The Type-R1 like I used to have came with two "full" back seats.
They werent bench like at all, very little legroom, but good seats all the same.
There are a couple other models that had these same seats, but you can always get one with the storage bins, and swop with someone who wants the bins and not their rear seats, im reasonably sure you can swop them directly.

Its a tad torturous for the rear passengers being as there is virtually no leg room, but for carrying one person sideways they work well.

Yeah only a few come as 2 seaters with the rear bins & as Bob says they are much in demand from me included & can with a few bruises swap fairly easy by the looks of it.
I'm getting my drivers seat put all the way back so little chance of anyone sitting behind me & it certainly is compact seating in the rear yer welcome to have a sit in mine if you like once i get it back.....Dont recall there being different types of rear seats....

Dont get yer hopes up about the seats thou that's an RZ special model which has lots of such nice goodies....
seats i cant find any decent images off to hand here's a very poor showing of my rear seats:
