Advice needed re buying a 205 for Hillclimbing
Can anyone please give me some advice (or direct me to where I can get some) regading me buying a 205 GTI Peugeot for my son(s) to maybe use for Hillclimbs and sprints. (Cannot justify letting them drive my 430BHP Twin Turbo.)
I would buy it, keep it road registered, strip some internals and fit a cage.
I want a 1.6 (not a 1.9) as it fits into a different class and thus does not compete with turbo scoobies and Evo's.
What kind of money am I looking at?

Hi,
I hillclimb a 1.9 GTi in the Road Modified classes which in my neck of the woods is Road Modified upto 2000cc. Anything over 2000cc puts you in with the likes of Imprezas and Evos.
I haven't updated my site in quite some time, but it gives some ideas as to what we've done to ours.

Its difficult to say where to start as its all depends on bugets. Skip Brown Cars in Cheshire come very highly recommended by numerous 205 people when it comes to engine tuning.
We've gone down a completely different route to most (which is carbs) and fitted DTA ECU, wild cam and Jenvey Throttle Bodies.
These lot are a helpful bunch and quite a few of us Hillclimb on the 205 GTIdrivers forum.
