Default Going flying tomorrow!

My friend has offered to take me out in his plane tomorrow. Like a fool i've said i'd love to...

I don't make a good passenger in a car so i don't know what i'll be like at 2000 feet!

Any thoughts or advice?

Chris

Turbohot, I'll be honest and say that i've got no idea! It's got 2 seats and is white...

(Flame suit on!!!!!)

I'll find out tomorrow. We're setting off late afternoon so as long as we don't crash i should be on line in the evening.

I don't think i'll eat too much for lunch, just to be on the safe side!

gotta laugh Chris,

I wasn't a nervous passenger until I went up in this tiny 2 seater plane (can't remember type). Bits of it were held together with bungy cords and the engine had less power than my first car (mk I box astra)....never feel you're gonna take off and once you are up it permanently feels like its gonna stall and you're gonna plummet to earth....hope its not windy for you the smaller airfields (and towers) are run by enthusiasts....many of whom are on first name terms and all pretty mad but once your life has passed before your eyes and you've accepted you're going to die, you start to relax a bit....and then you can enjoy it!!

Well i'm back, safe landing and all that!!!

It woz bloody brilliant, i'd recomend it to anyone who has the chance to go. I wasn't sure what to expect when i got there and i only just fitted into the cockpit. It was a very smooth flight and we were up for about 45 minutes. I even flew for a bit and was told i shouldn't have any problems getting a pilots licence if i want one as i aparently have a knack for flying!!!

I think i've got the bug now, can't wait until next time!!!

( Still not sure wot plane it was!)

Sounds cool - yup if you are gentle with the controls and have a good sense of direction it's easy

flew from Cranfield a few years back.. had a laugh and the instructor said I should get a licence.. never followed it up though
