Cool UKD1 Round three! (Pictures)

What a disaster!
I had actually spent some money preparing the car this time and fitted new tyres to the front wheels. Unfortunatly they were the hardest tyres i have ever fitted to the car, which resulted in no front end grip at all!
I was understeering through every turn and in the end I had to swap the backs to the front and adjust the tyre pressures in order to get any sideways action at all.
By the time I had the car set up well enough to drift, I had time for only one practice run before the eliminations. This is not the way to prepare for the competiton and as a result I didnt even make it to the final five
But my drifting was crap and as such I am realistic about the result. I got 45points out of 75, with the final five getting 60-65. Not good enough at all.
Anyways pictures...
This is me doing the one and only decent run through Priory. This was after the tyre swap. Good, but not good enough to win.

and this is me, realising my day was over and doing a burnout in the pitlane. The Irate marshal about to shout at me is just out of shot

All good fun. Next one is in August. I will keep the car the way it is and hopefully do better.

You were still entertaining.

Everyone enjoyed the 'pit' entertainment, even the guy doing the doughnuts very close to the barrier.

The poor scoob on the track, didn't stand much of a chance. My mates didn't laugh at it which was a nice change.

I also noticed that many of the novice cars performed better in the practice sessions.

When is a type R going to try drifting?

Couldn't you get some nice R rated rubber for the front?

What do the really good guys do?
