i seem to remember Autocar magazine (i think) doing a back to back test between the 2wd and the 4wd RS2000.

Their conclusion was there was no point in buying the 4wd model. It was slower, thirstier, more expensive and offered no real benefit.

Just do a search on Google, I imagine it would bring up loads of information. I agree it was/is slower as a 4x4 version.

The RS2000 was a fine handling car and wasn't stretched by the 150bhp. It didn't really need the 4X4 setup.

Ford went a bit mad with their 4X4 setup in the 90's and even offered it on the 2.0 125bhp Sierra.
The V6 4X4 Sierra's and obviously the Cossies were entertaining though.

The RS2000 engine is still used today in 2.3l and detuned form in the Galaxy.

Cheers
Lee

yes they do them but their quite rare, usually a few for sale in the rs owners club, best bet is to check out their site for tips on buying one or seeing whats for sale.
