im after a 306 tdi sport, pref a 96 onwards facelift model, so as it has the metal head gasket .
my sisters R reg think its a glx has air con, rain sensitive wipers etc, does the sport come with this???
im guessing there around the 90 bhp figure as standard??

any info please guys cus i think i want one..

1.9 with 90bhp, mate had one a few years back, TDi sport is the same spec as the petrol XSI, sports seats, same wheels, same bumpers, keypad imob, no air con though

He loved it and had no trouble with it what so ever in 2 years of ownership, bought it when it was 3 years old, with 60k on the clock

I had a 306 DTURBO, it was a 1998 model on an R plate. Lovely 3 door hatch which proved to be fun on a wet roundabout!

It had alloys and air con but not rain sensitive wipers.

no such thing as tdi sport, all 306 diesels were indirect injection until HDi. You can get a tds but nothing to get excited about. the only difference was standard alloys and a metallic paint job in either a minging green or sigma blue (good). You got this for about £250 more than standard which is why everyone bought thm when they came out but they also seem to want more for them 2nd hand and they are not worth it unless you need one of those colours.
they never did a diesel in xsi spec. it was close but so many differences.
hope that helps, basically just get a normal d-turbo, you may even get a facelift model which came with a/c.
they are 90 hp but good in the corners.

I had a 306 hdi briefly and it was a pile of sh!te My sister owned a 306 xrdt (1994) and it was a much better car. The HDI doesn't even have an intercooler I wouldn't touch an hdi with someone elses barge pole If you want one get the old 1.9 engined one.
