Can't comment on the price with any authority ( except that they're a bloody fortune new! ), however, my other halfs dad had a nearly new one a couple of years ago which I was priveliged enough to have a proper go in.....still judge everything I drive by it, thought it was incredibly well engineered, especially the suspension/steering.

B10's are auto as opposed to M5's manual , 4.6 litre as opposed to 5 litre for the M5.
0-60 is around 5.8 , 340 bhp. More of a stealth car , more refined , probably rarer over here.
IMO that price is very very low , I'd bite his hand off , after checking it out!

A 1998 B10 3.3 with about 80k is worth around 14-16k , it's still a good price , also there are lots of kits that can push the bhp to over 300.

That'd be the 3.2 B10, this was later upgraded to 3.3, with 280bhp, current cars have a 3.4 with 300bhp.
Alpina's are pure class, I prefer them to M cars, much better steering and lovely noise.
used to have a B3 3.3, best car i have ever owned.
It is unusual to find an alpina sans leather though.
They are thirsty too.
