944 turbo at work.................
This was taken during a rolling road session us guys had.
Every time I get on boost, my manifold looks like that looks! In fact during 3 laps of the ring it looks like that for 27 mins!

One of my lasting memories from Le Mans in 2000 was the GT(insert right no. here) exiting Arnage with the Turbos glowing under the back end

On classic shape scoob wrc cars you car see the turbo glowing through the offside front wheel arch in cornering too

It's also the reason that a lot of '44 Turbos have new starter motors....the starter motor is directly under the exhaust.

exhaust wrap is very sensible pain to put on tho, very fiddly with out taking manifold off.

205 T16's used to get their whole exhaust systems up to that sort of colour when used in anger
