Default Importing a car from JAP - ITR DC5

Folks,

I may do the above.....

How does one go about doing this??

Are there any sites for auctions that I could have a look on??

What are the pro's and con's??

Is it easier to find a 'agent' to do this? If so does anyone have contact details for one???

How much of a saving could I make???

thanks folks in advance...............

If you are going to import a car, go through an agent, atleast then if anything goes wrong you will have some sort of come back. Also with the agent, the price they quote you will usually include all shipping and import costs, but check there are no hidden costs aswell.
Importing by yourself could be cheaper, but i certainly wouldnt want the hassle of sorting out payment, shipping, tax etc etc.

Also if you do get an imported car, remember to check the ecu, see if its programmed for UK fuel, if its not, this is something you need to do, unless you use octane booster every time you fill up.

Im sure the others with more know how on this subject will give you alot more info.

Cheers
Marc.
