Default Help & Advice - Civic VTi

Thinking of getting rid of the Scoob to save me money that I can put towards a house...

My Car is a MY99 UK Turbo with:

Prodrive Performance Pack
Prodrive Handling Pack (Lowered & Uprated Suspension and 17" P1 Alloys)
Prodrive Quickshift Gearchange Kit
K&N 57i Induction Kit
Forge Motorsport VTA D/V
TSL Firestorm Back Box

Car has got 75000 miles with FULL Subaru History on it and 1 years extendable warranty on it from Subaru Direct.

Car has just had a full new Short Block and Turbo under warranty after Piston 2 gave up... Total Bill for that was about 4k (Under Warranty, thank god!! )... I had a brand new clutch fitted while it was out too.

My Friend has got a MY99 Civic VTi (Facelift) 3dr that he would like to do a deal with me on my Scoob for.

His Spec:

V-Reg
Forest Green
34,000miles
Full History (NOT all Honda)
Full Exhaust System
Induction Kit
Lightweight 16" Wheels
Lowered Suspension

His offer to me is: The Civic plus £3,000 for my Scoob.

Now I love Hondas, and they are the cars I am considering as a replacement for the Scoob at the moment. However, does the deal that he's offering look good to people, or am I being taken for a mug??

I was looking for Civic plus £4,000 as a deal... Is this too much??

Honest answers and opinions will be appreciated...

Cheers,
Grant

Well according to parkers.
Vti is worth £5000 in top nick
Scoob is about £8,300 in top nick.

So somewhere between £3 and £4k sounds right.

Thumbs up

Have an ask on

http://www.hondaforums.co.uk/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=6
and
http://forum.hondarevolutions.com/viewforum.php?f=2

Is it the 1.6 0r the 1.8 VTI

I have a 1.8VTI aerodeck and have had a 1.6VTI saloon. They are great cars, the engines are unbustable if looked after. much underrated IMHO

email/pm me if you want more info.

Not sure about prices

Insurance is good and a real Q car to boot!

It is a 3dr 1.6 VTi...

Talked to him last night, and his final offer for me is £3000 plus his Civic, and then pay up a further £500. Also I will be removing my Firestorm B/B and selling that privately... So I'm almost certain that this is as good a deal as I can get, and it will cut out the hassle of trying to sell it privately too.

Out of interest, which will be easier to move on, as there are constantly a couple of pages of Scoobs for sale in the trader, but I rarely see any decent low mileage late EK Civic VTi's for sale.

Paul........ You will have a PM shortly mate!!

Cheers,
Grant
