Ray,
Im in exactly the same dilemma, and depends why you're selling. Mines going as ive bought a flat, and have to travel further - so the gas guzzling STi has to go. Im considdering a UK turbo or an Integra R. Completely different cars, but impressed with the Honda... The accord is a comprimised ITR, with a few less thrills
Thats a big torque figure for a VTEC

Im starting to give up on the hunt for a scooby. The hunt is not going well.
My insurance will cost £1200 for a scooby but any car with a bit of fun will cost around the 1k mark.
I'll never get insured for a RX7

How old r ya Ray just as an >25 with extra car my RX7 insurance is a LOT less than i was paying on UK (modified) scooby & that's not using me NCB extra as it's on a classic policy c/o a deal thru owners club But i'd be lying if i said it was cheap to run!!!!!!

you have to take into account depreciation
you buy a 10 k type R honda and in 2 years its 7k's worth tops
mitsu evos will depreciate less so in a roundabout way would cost the same
a nice evo 4 is what you want
imho
or can do you a good deal on a r32 gtr skyline faster than the evo and less depreciation as its a modern classic

Darbo, Type R depreciation is actually very good.
Currymonster, ive owned 4 scoobs now and I can only get just over 200 miles from a tank on the STi, plus the expense of octane booster. My 99MY scoob used to give 280 miles with a tek 2.5, over the same journey. Thats a big difference.
