R.I.P. Oldsmobile
The last Olds was built today in Michigan. General Motors decided to kill the brand 4 years ago.
Trivia bit - company founder Ransom Eli Olds went on to found the truck company Diamond REO.

Not surprised they're cr@p!
I drove one 1200 mls in America last year. Thankfully the scenery was amazing, coz the driving experience would put you to sleep.
Handles like a truck, so not really surprised by the trivia bit.

Frankly speaking, all GM cars in the US (apart from Cadillacs & the Vette) are more or less the same cars. One floorplan together with the same range of engines form the cars in different GM brands. Even if Olds died, u can still buy more or less the same car from Buick or Pontiac.
It's just like buying a Golf or an A3, but of course the GM cars are much inferior to VAG's products.
