Default Toyota Prius 'unknown button'

Hi All,

My Dad's got one of those Toyota Prius's (its a hybrid part pertrol/electric)... nice.

Since ownership I've noticed a button below the steering column on the panel above the footpedals which has an outline of a car with a radar type beam symbol going inwards. We've tried pressing it in and out and it seems to do nothing.

Does anyone know what its for?

Its the only button not listed in the user manual.

I'll post a pic later if it helps.

Comments appreciated.

Frank

It'll be a button to turn off the ultrasonics if you're leaving something that moves (kids, dog, etc.) inside the car. That way, the alarm goes off if the doors are opened, but not if something moves inside.
