Default Picked up new car tonight. R33 GTR!

Wow its got a noisy exhaust!!! LOL! Lowered, some cosmetic bits, not sure re CAT, will see at the weekend

Its a 1995 R33 GTR Midnight Purple on about 52k ish miles.

Feels slow compared to my old supe, because I'm not used to the different style of power delivery yet, but the speedo tells a different story.

I have to admit (flame suit on!) I do prefer the looks of the my old Supe (Do-Luck front, skirts, aerotop), but the Skyline is gorgeous too, and its such a better drivers car

Well chuffed. Only pic I have until the weekend:

Nice one ScoobyJawa - looks awesome.

Just remember though - not as good as an M3 and far more common

Enjoy it.

Mods, if you own it they will come LMAO!

At the mo its got a CAT back Apexi system I think, not sure if the cat is removed or not, gotta check. Also an Apexi Powerflow Induction kit or whatever its called! Then perhaps a Middlehurst Stage 1 ECU, front downpipes, and the Blitz SBC ID I have sat next to me No idea on power, depends on zorst I guess, I'd imagine anything up to 350 at the moment. Really ony looking to go to 400ish....

tiggers - cheers LOL @ M3's Oh well, I think I'll manage!

Just wondered whats wrong with that car cosworth427, could you explain it?

I think it looks great but I've never driven one, all I know is that they are a well respected Jap car well on the way to being a classic, with a great deal of motorsport success behind them. What's not to like?

Just read the SkylineV M3 thread which I hadn't noticed before.

I'm now fully aware of his views, never heard any of that about skylines before though.

Personally I think your car looks the dogs danglies, I bet it shifts as well.

Talking

Ok dont know if this is a stupid question but do the concerns of running a Jdm scoob on uk fuel apply to skylines as well or can the skyline`s ecu adapt better.

Thumbs up

Neil hi there and again, another good choice in motas.

Like the car and in that colour look foward to an update on ownership, thinking along similar lines possibly but my concern is doing a lotta miles.

Cheers Nacro It sure shifts, but you need to get the revs going! At the mo its fairly standard except for cat back and induction, so a few more breathing mods should see a marked improvement too

Course its not a stupid question. From what I've found coming from a supra to a skyline, they both handle the change in fuel fine, unlike a scoob. But 98 Optimax only. You can get a relatively cheap stage 1 chip from middlehursts which just sets it up a bit more for UK fuel and gives it a slightly higher red line and boost cut limit

Thanks mate. I'll post back after a while to say how its going. Provided they are looked after mileage shouldn't be an issue, and servicing for this and the Supra is cheaper than the Scoob I had!
