With kind help from a member of the Honda Revolutions board
I was very impressed, and couldn't really fault it.
This one had a full exhaust, filter, and a unichip, so around 220 bhp.
On the plus side, the interior was quite plain (aka Subaru) but the seats were actually nicer to sit in, and red is very nice. It feels quite a small car, and therefore quite controllable and fun. Gear change is quite nothchy, but nice once you're used to it. Clutch isn't heavy like people make out either.
Looks are spot on I think, from certain angles it looks pretty special.
Brakes were significantly better than my STi, and the handling seemed pretty similar TBH.
And anyone who thinks they aren't quick, well, they dont have huger power low down, but quicker than when you get bogged down in a scoob. I imagine it would stick with a Uk turbo like glue.
Also sounds pretty nice at high revs
Doors were more solid than a scoob too.
On the negative side, well can't think of much really - ok its lacking a turbo
Suspension was harder than my scoob, which could get a bit annoying.
But seriously, its a good all round package, and a serious contender for my next motor

Enough of the cheek
this is a very important decision, which may take many more years of my life before I realise that the scoob cant be beaten
Interesting chat with the Honda chappy, as he'd owned most of the ususal fast stuff (200SX, scoobs, etc etc) and was very happy with the Honda for all round fun.

Very good car, cheap to run for what they are, and very reliable.
They must be the best performance bargain around given what they go for these days, for the technology and engineering its a steal.
Can highly recommend one, really enjoyed the one I had, only negatives are the looks for me, I was never a fan of them, but since you like them, there's no reason not to get one!! I also found outright straight line acceleration wasnt all that, but then there's not a huge amount of fun in that anyway. Put a few corners in its way and its serious fun.
What sort of money you looking at spending?

I've got one and I'll tell you how impressed both my wife and I are by it. Whoever is first out of the door in the morning chooses the ITR.
