Default What new small hatch / supermini would you get?

My other half's Punto 55 is getting old & tired. On the lookout for a replacement, similar size or maybe Focus-sized, probably a petrol engine, budget around £7K total.

Any other ideas apart from:

- a newer Punto
- Skoda Fabia
- Seat Leon / Ibiza

Thanks for any help ...

Toyota Yaris, Honda Jazz (if you can find one), Skoda Fabia wold be the top of my list.

That said I just bought a Citroen C3, but I wanted it for the hdi engine and the space (6ft 3in and 20+ stone) as the C3 is huge in the front seats, and I can't get below 50+mpg even if I wanted to. Perhaps the Citroen C2 would be another to look at. Its shorter than the C3, but just a comfy in the front seats, no room in the back though!

I'd have the Seat Leon. A friend has one and another friends Mum has one and neither of them have any complaints.

Lightbulb Getz this car....

M8

I seem to be one of a few - but don't go near the Cup 172 - I bought one brand new, and traded it in after 9mths cos it was a pile of s**t and had nothing but probs with it. Having bumped into quite a few other owners since I got shot of mine, they've also have problems with the suspension turrets hitting body work etc.

I hate to say this as I'll probably get laughed off here but here goes anyway ....the Hyundai Getz is a 1.6 Sport and quite a nice little car - don't be put off by the badge. These are selling like hotcakes and are good value for money. Deals on these aswell as a 5 yr unlimited mileage warranty. Also they aint as small as you think!

Have you guessed who I work for yet???

Which part of 7K budget do people not understand?

I'd go for a Fabia.
