Toyota TT Supras?

Toyota TT Supras?
Ok, I need some help/advice/opinions here..
Over the last few years I've had my share of rally replicas; a P1 and 2 Evo VI's, but I'm starting to feel that it's time to move on.
My priorities have changed now, and I want a car that is more suited to big miles and eating Continents, rather than a pure B road weapon. Obviously, I still want it to be extremely fast with sub 5 second 0-60, but I want something that is more comfortable when spending extended periods in the car.
So, I'm considering a 6spd TT Supra from Japan for my next car. I know some people think they look a bit cheesy, but that can easily be sorted with a few subtle styling changes. Take a look a this as an example: http://www.indidist.co.uk/images/images/whifbitz3.jpg
What are these like in general? I assume the engine must be more or less bullet proof so tuning could be interesting, is this right? Does anyone have experience of owning one of these? What are the running costs like - I'm sure it needs much less attention than an Evo for example. Are they expensive to extract the horses from? I know Skyline tuning can get fairly crazy in terms of cost, are Supras the same?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Cheers guys,
Mart.

If I was after something for eating up continents, I'd probably avoid turbocharged cars and go for something supercharged or with a big fat engine - like an M5 or an E55 Mercedes.
