brothers had one since new, excellent little car, 156bhp as standard, 0-60 in 7.5 or thereabouts, excellent build quality.

Easily tunable apparently but still quick in standard trim due to being so small, highly recommended.

Engines in these are bullet proof. They are the sme engine as used in the Audi A3 and Golf Turbo.

Can get 350BHP easy from it.

Currently got one 240bhp/265lbs ft. Quick, but has had niggly faults, dealers in general are poor. Very tuneable 600bhp, if u have the cash/*****. Standard handling is poor as are brakes, which is highlighted more so when the power is upped. I would possibly look at a Golf 1.8t but make sure its a v.v.t model not one of the early ones, as they have far more parts for tuning and cheaper to do so. Basic chip will give you 190-212bhp with 230-250lbs ft. Which will beat a classic scoob (stnd) and bug eye quite easily during in line in gear sprints. Mine is pretty much sorted now with only very minor mods to finish, glad i bought it and am and have been happy with the car.

Check out www.seatcupra.net for info.

Thumbs up

A couple of mates have had them, and I like them, they didnt feel very quick (only due to some of the cars I've been in I think ) and handling was..a tad scary.
Surely the price of em has got to drop soon when/if they bring out the new shape "sporty" model??

I test drove one before buying my mini, the only thing I can remember that stands out about it was the torque steer being quite severe on an uneven road under power.
